The Best Sandwich in Ramsey - It's Official

Congratulations to the children and staff of The Ramsey Nursery who have won the Best Sandwich In Ramsey heat of the district-wide Hunt for the Best Sandwich competition, with their wonderful sandwich, The Children's Choice.

Well done to all those who submitted their amazing recipes and congratulations also to the three runners up, Garrick Fox, Tegan Fox, and Susan Normington. Thanks also to our panel of judges and The Bow Window Restaurant in Ramsey for allowing us the use of their kitchens.

The children of the Ramsey Nursery will make their sandwich again when they represent the town in the third and final round on Saturday 27 September at Saxongate, Huntingdon. There they will go head to head with the winners from the other towns and we wish them every success. Whatever the outcome and whether they win the overall title or not, their sandwich will be on the menu at the major Food Fest event at the Wood Green Animal Shelter arena, Godmanchester on Sunday 28th September. The Food Fest is a fun family event with something for everyone. The Huntingdonshire Food & Drink Festival is taking place across the district from Thursday 25 to Monday 29 September.
